Matt was born and raised in the Medford area. He attended Lakeland College. While at Lakeland, Matt was a member of the baseball team and pursued a degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduation, Matt was an elementary and middle school teacher for six years. At that point Matt decided that, although he very much enjoyed teaching, he wanted to make a career change to the financial industry. Both Matt’s Mom and Step-Dad were financial advisors and that field always intrigued Matt. As he got introduced to the industry, Matt quickly realized that although being an Investment Advisor would not provide him with a “classroom” in a traditional sense, he would still be able to educate others. It is that educational approach that Matt uses in all of his client appointments. He wants to make sure first and foremost that clients understand and can make educated decisions when it comes to financial and insurance decisions.
Matt is an Investment Advisor Representative and will therefore act in the capacity of a fiduciary. This means he is legally obliged to act in your best interest. Matt holds securities registrations S-7 and S-66. Matt also holds his health and life licenses.
Outside of the office, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and golfing. Matt and his wife Jessie welcomed their first child, (a boy) Rhett into the family on April 6, 2023. Matt also has a four year old yellow lab, named Scout, that he enjoys bird hunting and going on walks in the woods with. In the summer, you can also find Matt at the baseball field, as he is a volunteer assistant coach with the Medford High School team, as well as the Medford Legion Post 147 Team.
